Reviews
This is a long overdue review of our favorite restaurant in Atlanta. We go to this location regularly and have never been disappointed. Their guacamole is exceptional, as is their salsa and chips. We have ordered many things from the menu but our favorites are the chicken Colaradito, enchiladas Verdes and any of the assorted tacos. I would also highly recommend the chef's tasting menu. It is a delightful and eclectic mix of foods, each of them more delicious than the last. I highly recommend Casi Cielo.
Food here was amazing. Healthy portion sizes and tons of flavor in everything from the water to the appetizers and entrees. Service is very friendly and attentive but the food alone warrants a visit. Very nice ambiance inside the place, has a nice sit down bar area as well if you want to try some of their mezcal cocktails. Definitely will be coming back.
So friggin delicious! From the salsa, to the various entrees we tried, to the dessert-- just so very good! Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of each dish, but I've posted some photos. You can tell that there's a lot of effort and love in these dishes, and the customer service cannot be beat! All of the staff we encountered were very courteous, genuinely friendly, and patient as we took our time figuring out what we wanted to eat. This is my second time at this restaurant, but I'm going to have to work it into the rotation because the atmosphere, customer service, and dishes were excellent. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience!
LETS TACO BOUT CASI CIELO | we had a reservation for later in the evening but joined the walk-in list to see if we could get an earlier table faster that way. We ended up getting seated before our reservation time so it worked out. We started with red wine and quite a few apertivos: the fundido de queso, aguilachile de pescado, croquetas de platano. All were tasty, although the queso was a little watery for my taste. The aguachile was a beautiful presentation and good for sharing. The croquetas de platano are solid (almost literally) - and fill you up while you're waiting for your entree! I decided to split the pate con mole negro - the duck was beautiful and the mole paired great. The duck was cooked perfectly. It's a pretty big portion so it's perfect for sharing, especially with the rice and beans. We ended the meal with the bread pudding and it was warm and meaty and delicious. As we finished the meal, the server was super accommodating and helped us split the check easily - including the shared appetizers per person - it was awesome. Rarely do servers do this and I appreciated the effort. Overall, Casi Cielo is a solid fine dining option you need to add to your Sandy Springs restaurant list!
service was great, short wait at the entrance. Romantic setting with a vibrant atmosphere. The food was delicious. I didn't love my chicken entree but it was really good non the less.
